I know it's been a while since I've blogged, but I'm back now! In a new location, which we hope will work out! (Atlanta, Georgia) I've been working on opportunities for pop-up shops and working on participating in vendor events! (If you're in ATL please feel free to contact me, let's meet, let's collaborate so much in store for Cali Rose!) You can email me at email@example.com.
I've decided to start this years blog with what inspired me to start Cali Rose in the first place! What taught me to question and learn more about the fashion industry. This is all about Fashion Revolution Week.
What is Fashion Revolution & Fashion Revolution Week?
So glad you ask!
It's a global movement calling for greater transparency, sustainability and ethics in the fashion industry. Which means that people like me and you all over the world, standing up for human rights and global issues that they are facing everyday working in the fashion supply chain. Fashion Revolution is a non-profit organization in the UK, empowering consumers, retailers, manufacturers on the importance of transparency. It was created after the devastating collapse of Rana Plaza, which killed 1,138 people and injured many more just in the span of 2013.
Fashion Revolution Week takes places on April 23-29th and it's not your usual NYC fashion week or others that we follow. This is a week inviting you, and millions of others around the world to ask your favorite brand, designer, etc. #whomademyclothes?
